Baritone

The baritone is a low brass instrument that plays the same notes as the trombone but looks like the tuba's smaller cousin.  Its mouthpiece is the same size as the trombone's, but it produces a warmer sound due to its larger bell.  Whereas notes on a trombone are changed by moving the slide, notes on a baritone are changed by pressing down valves.  Baritone (also sometimes referred to as euphonium) is a very important instrument in the band.  Check out the examples below!
