Flute

The flute provides a lot of beauty in the band! Unlike other woodwind instruments, the flute does not have a reed and is played by blowing air across the head joint. Famous flute players include Sir James Galway, Jeanne Baxtresser, and Jean-Pierre Rampal. The 5th Grade Band needs many flutes! Check out some examples below.
