Registration and instrument rental will be on Thursday, September 9th in the Lisle Elementary Cafeteria from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Please come at your convenience any time between these hours, and be prepared to fill out a rental agreement and pay rental fees at the registration. This open house type of registration allows us to talk with all interested parents and students regarding final instrument selection.
Small group instruction is furnished free of charge by the school. Your child will need an instrument, a red Tradition of Excellence method book, miscellaneous supplies particular to their instrument (i.e. valve oil, reeds), and a music stand. For your convenience, arrangements have been made with Quinlan & Fabish Music Company to provide a low cost rent-to-own program whereby you may rent an instrument for your child. They offer a very affordable 4-month introductory rental program. We have worked with Quinlan & Fabish for many years and strongly feel that the quality of their rental instruments is second to none. Through the years, our experience has proven many times over that the quality of an instrument is an incredibly important factor in the success of the student.
If you have a used instrument at home that you would like your child to play, please bring it to Registration. It may need to be sent to a repair shop before the start of lessons, and we are happy to take a look at it to ensure its quality beforehand. Even if you already have an instrument, you will still need to acquire the music stand, method book, and miscellaneous supplies on Registration night. If you are not sure you can afford to rent an instrument, we can help. Please speak to the band teachers about renting a school-owned instrument.
If you are unable to make it to registration, please call Mr. Meyer at 630-493-8141 by Friday, September 10th to register your child over the phone or through e-mail.
We CANNOT wait to get started! Please call or e-mail if you have any questions!
First Lesson Videos When you get home from Registration, first lesson videos will be available on our website! Please try to watch them before your first lesson so you get a head start! You can find them here.
